It always a cool experience when we get to film a wedding close to home! Chisholm & Katie’s wedding at Carolina Country Club in Spartanburg, SC is the perfect example of that.
It’s also so fun to work with familiar vendors! We had to opportunity to work with Events With Shelley & Kendra Martin Photography. It was such a blessing to work alongside like-minded creatives. The day could not have flowed more perfectly, or been more on time (S/O to Shelley)!
Katie’s parent’s house is located right near Carolina Country Club. This was the home that Katie grew up in so it was the perfect location for getting ready. Some of the best light in the house was actually in front of a large window in Katie’s room where her mom and sister helped button up her dress. It was such a special moment to capture!
The Ceremony
I can’t tell you how much we love outdoor ceremonies! Chisholm & Katie had one of the most beautiful ceremony locations! Everything was setup right along the lake and nestled under large oak trees.
A popular new trend that we’ve seen couples do is to have a circular arbor wrapped in flowers. They chose to do this and it was absolutely beautiful! The Kara Nash Design team did and amazing job of pulling it all together.
If you’ve seen any of our wedding videos you’ll know how much we love audio! Katie’s sister gave such a sweet and heartfelt toast, we couldn’t help but use it in the film. (Fun fact: Katie’s sister was actually married just a few months before Katie!)
Katie’s sister shared what a special relationship the two of them have! In her speech she said, “Katie has chosen a spouse that has proven he will love and support her without hesitation, and just as fiercely as I have.” Chisholm & Katie are perfect for each other and it’s so evident!
Chisholm & Katie, thank you for trusting us to tell your wedding story! We had so much fun getting to know you guys and working with you. We’re so excited for you as you begin this new chapter of your lives together. We wish you nothing but the best!
